CREA Announces Interim CEO of REALTOR.ca Canada Inc.

On Monday, January 6, 2025, REALTOR.ca Canada Inc. was legally formed as a separate, taxable subsidiary of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Governance of the new entity falls to its transition Board of Directors.

At its first meeting earlier this week, the transition Board named Patrick Pichette as interim CEO of the new entity. 

Pichette has served as VP of REALTOR.ca for more than six years. He and his team have built REALTOR.ca into the powerhouse brand it is today.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Patrick to this new role. He’s the ideal candidate to lead the new organization during this transition period, ensuring continuity and progress. I look forward to working together closely to ensure ongoing strategic alignment between our two thriving organizations,” said Janice Myers, CREA CEO.

Moving forward, Pichette will oversee the strategic direction and growth of Canada’s leading real estate platform, delivering technology solutions to empower REALTORS® across Canada and support consumers throughout their real estate journeys.

Beyond his work at CREA, Pichette contributes to advancing real estate standards as a Board Director with the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO). Prior to joining CREA, Pichette held senior marketing and product management roles at MD Financial Management, a subsidiary of the Canadian Medical Association, and the Canadian Tourism Commission.
