This position is a rare opportunity to join the REALTOR.ca Analyst team. We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst who is personable, results-driven, and has proven leadership experience working across complex, multi-team projects. The Senior Business Systems Analyst has a strong background in Business Systems Analysis and Solutions Architecture and proven ability to perform in an Agile environment.

Position Accountabilities:

  • Lead a high performing team of analysts
  • Lead the development and enhancement of REALTOR.ca and supporting technology solutions on behalf of REALTORS®, consumers and Real Estate Associations:
  • Organize and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with project stakeholders, team members and end-users.
  • Document requirements that meet the needs of the Business and Technology
  • Present solutions to key business stakeholders
  • Analyze data to provide insight and ad hoc reports to product managers and IT stakeholders
  • Take a leadership role in designing, planning, and coordinating projects that involve multiple scrum teams
  • Establish, improve, and enforce requirements standards within the Business Systems Analyst team
  • Participate in meetings related to product release activities
  • Contribute to the creation of QA and UAT test strategies.
  • Consult on integration and acceptance testing
  • Contribute to IT architecture, design, and product implementation activities.
  • Act as a liaison between Business, Development, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Identify risks to project deadlines or budget.
  • Facilitate integration activities with external partner organizations and third-party vendors.
  • Contribute to assessing project scope and feasibility
  • Contribute to troubleshooting enhancement and production support related issues
  • Mentor colleagues in documentation best practices
  • Motivate and support the team in achieving on time, on budget, on quality solutions
  • Advise on BSA team roles and responsibilities, including project assignments and scrum team balancing
  • Identify any issues and make recommendations to the IT management team
  • Contribute to the establishment and adherence to IT security best practices

Requirements:

  • University degree (IT, IS, or business administration with IT focus) or equivalent certification or experience
  • At least 10 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
  • Experience managing staff
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Advanced use of SQL
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; bilingualism an asset
  • Demonstrated track record with consumer-facing, web/mobile based projects considered an asset
  • Knowledge of data warehouse/business intelligence concepts, architectural components considered an asset

This is a Hybrid position, with a mixture of working on-site-minimum two (2) day per week and remotely.
