Shaun Majumder Joins REAL TIME Podcast as New Host

After more than 50 episodes and 1.5 million listens, the REAL TIME podcast is welcoming changes in 2025.

Last year we made the shift to including video episodes as part of our production, and this year we’ll be welcoming award-winning comedian and actor Shaun Majumder as the new host of REAL TIME.

Connections and community

In 2024, REAL TIME brought you 12 episodes centered around ideas REALTORS® could integrate into their day-to-day.

The year’s theme is all about connections and community, and we can’t wait to connect listeners with Shaun. He’ll continue exploring all things Canadian real estate, leading with curiosity and a desire to create a sense of community.

You can expect to hear from the same level of high-caliber of guests we’ve been curating over the past four years, including the fan-favourite Working REALTOR® series where we dig deeper into the lives of real estate professionals who let us in on their strategies for success.

We want REALTORS® to be at the very heart of the show while we hear fresh takes on hot topics, with a good laugh here and there.

So, why Shaun?

A lifelong performer, Majumder found early success as a standup comedian and host, including five years as host for YTV. Shortly thereafter, he joined CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes for 17 seasons. In the time since he has worked as an established actor and comedian on both sides of the border.

“I am excited to throw myself into this next chapter working with CREA and hosting REAL TIME, to learn, to share, and to perhaps entertain a little while we're at it,” says Majumder.

We’re excited to introduce to you, our listeners, his incredible knack for storytelling in an engaging manner that helps add colour to conversations. His friendly yet professional demeanour helps him get to the heart of the story.
