CREA Releases REALTORS Care® Days 2024 Report
REALTORS® across Canada make a difference at 18 events in 2024.

REALTORS® understand the importance of volunteerism. It brings communities together; it can expose people to the harsh realities faced by those who are in need, who they may not interact with daily. Volunteerism can inspire long-term change through collective action, making communities a better place for everyone.
REALTORS Care® Days
When we launched REALTORS Care® Days at the beginning of 2024, we aimed to unite the volunteering efforts of REALTORS® in support of everyone having safe and affordable place to call home. REALTORS Care® Days are symbolic of these often quiet, cross-country efforts, providing a glimpse into the impact REALTORS® have in their community.
Twelve months later, what did these efforts amount to?
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has released its REALTORS Care® Days 2024 Report.
Highlights from the report
From British Columbia to Nova Scotia, 18 real estate boards and associations hosted impactful REALTORS Care® Days during its inaugural year, 2024.
594 REALTORS® rallied together, giving 2,052 hours (or 85 calendar days!) of their time in support of their fellow community members.
While their valuable hands-on efforts helped to create lasting change for their charity partners, $63,285 was also donated to help Canadian families in need through REALTORS Care® Days in 2024.
Working alongside community partners
At each REALTORS Care® Day, volunteers worked side-by-side with their charity partners to create meaningful outcomes for those in need.
In some parts of the country, this looked like lacing up steel toe boots to help build affordable housing units for Habitat for Humanity families. In others, volunteers worked with partners in support of youth experiencing homelessness. Several events supported Canadians struggling with the cost of living by tackling food insecurity through cooking meals and packaging, collecting and delivering food for shelters, community kitchens, and food banks.
REALTOR® response
While each of these events focused on supporting charities and community groups important to their respective communities, volunteers were united by their motivation to give their time to support people who are underhoused, experiencing homelessness, or at-risk of homelessness.
It’s special to think that our association’s REALTORS Care® Day was one of 18 held across Canada last year. We’re really looking forward to doing it again this year and offering our members another rewarding experience that helps strengthen our communities.”
